The great celebration of the Arciducale Park and the people of Arco with Plays Plant Orchestra and Saturnino Celani

The inauguration of the renovated Arciducale Park on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th August promises to be a great celebration for all the people of Arco.

On Saturday, starting at 9.30 a.m., there will be guided tours with Muse, the Science Museum of Trento, on the scientific, naturalistic and botanical aspects, and with the Sommolago association on the history of this jewel, witness to an ancient park that Archduke Albert of Habsburg wanted around his villa at the end of the 19th century. At 9 p.m., there will be an extraordinary concert by the Plays Plant Orchestra, conducted by musicologist Edoardo Taori, who translates the biorhythms of plants into musical notes, with special guest Saturnino Celani, Jovanotti's long-time bassist. On Sunday, from 3 to 6 p.m., there will be “Libri in pArco” (Books in the Park), with entertainment, activities, readings and games for children and families. On both Saturday and Sunday, there will be costumed figures from the Comitato tradizioni, usi e costumi arcensi (Arco Traditions, Customs and Costumes Committee), commemorating the origins of the park and an era of particular significance and splendour for the city.

All events are free of charge. In case of rain, the Plays Plant Orchestra concert will take place in the ballroom of the municipal casino, with limited seating. Guided tours can be booked on Eventbrite.
